Glutes by Ant · Austin, TX

Your glutes are an engine.

Most glute coaches sell you a shape. I train the muscle that makes you fast, keeps your knees from caving, and takes your lower back out of the lift. The shape follows the mechanics.

If this sounds like you

You've done the classes. The apps. The screenshots.

And your glutes still don't match the effort you put in. You're not lazy and you're not doing too little. You're following programs that were never built around how your body actually moves. When the training finally fits the mechanics, the results stop being a mystery.

The method

Own the lowering.

A muscle grows where it's loaded and stretched, the bottom of the rep, the part most people rush. Controlling the way down, on purpose, is the whole method. It's why exercises you've done for years suddenly start working.

"I'd trained glutes my whole life and just figured a peach wasn't in the cards for me. Ant fixed how I was hinging in the first session. Fourteen weeks later and I was hip thrusting a hundred pounds heavier."

The questions I get most

Why aren't my glutes growing even though I train them hard?

Almost always because the work is landing somewhere else, your lower back, your quads, instead of the glute, and because the lowering phase of each rep gets rushed. Fix where the tension goes and control the way down, and the exercises you already do start working. It's rarely a matter of doing more.

I feel hip thrusts in my back, not my glutes. What's wrong?

Your glutes aren't taking the load, so your lower back steps in to finish the movement. It's a setup and control problem, not a strength problem, and it's one of the first things I fix on the Diagnostic.

Will training my glutes make my legs bigger?

Not when the work actually reaches the glute. Most "my legs grew instead" problems come from quads taking over exercises that were meant for the posterior chain. Training the glute directly, with control, is how you build the shape without the bulk you're worried about.

Do I have to be in Austin, or can we work online?

Everything I sell right now is online, the Diagnostic, the programs, the coaching, so where you live doesn't change what you get. I'm based in Austin and I do train a small number of clients in person, but that roster is full at the moment. If you're local and want to be on the list for it, DM me on Instagram.

Start with one honest hour.

I'll watch you move, tell you exactly why it hasn't worked, and give you the plan. If you continue, the $200 comes off your first program.
